Campus Closed

The University of Ulster campus in Jordanstown closed around 2022. Since then I have been making photographs around the campus grounds. Capturing the building and the slow deterioration. The architecture of the building is incredible with some striking 1970’s industrial styled areas alongside some modern designs.

The university campus itself has been a part of my life since I was very young. My father worked there, I learned to swim there, I went to school next to it, eventually I went to study there and now I live beside it.
Despite having been in and out of the campus so much, now that it is closed, I am forced to watch it collapse slowly from the outside.

One day the bulldozers will roll in.

This is my document of the campus, an appreciation of the design, an ode to the memories and a heartfelt depth of sadness to see the final days.
